Michigan's Tate Forcier: Lofty Expectations Will Lead to Major Letdown

After a couple of weeks of practice and their Spring game, many out-of-touch fans of that school up North already believe that Robert "Tate" Forcier will lead them to a victory over Ohio State in 2009.

Never mind that they lost nine games in 2008, including a 42-7 beatdown at the hands of the Buckeyes.

Never mind that they still have no defense and are unproven at wide receiver and running back.

Never mind that Tressel is 7-1 and Dick-Rod isn't the savior they all believed he was and wanted him to be.

Sure, he built a decent program at West Virginia, but I mean, that's the Big East, where you play schools like UConn, Rutgers, Cincinnati, and Louisville, not the Big Ten where you deal with Wisconsin, Iowa, Penn State, and Ohio State.

Never mind that Forcier might not even be the starter in 2009.

Even if he is and he has a decent year, he can never live up to the hype and unrealistic expectations scUm fans (like Jordan from B/R) are placing on his shoulders.

I had better remind them once again, just for good measure:

UM lost nine games last year.

They're not going to win nine or 10 games this year.

Forcier looked OK, but remember, he was playing against his own weak defense so you be the judge.

Here are the video highlights from the 2009 UM Spring game—GO BUCKS!

Here's a friendly reminder to my scUm fan homeboys—LMFAO!

  1. You are easily the most retreded OUS fan ever. Uh, have you seen the progression of records from Rich Rod's previous head coaching jobs. Uh, he also coached, Tulane....and....uh....put Shaun King into the friggin NFL, as a starter! How many USO QBs start in the pros.....still waiting.....OK then. So, Rich Rod at Tulane was able to put a QB into the Pro's and Tressel...well...OK, who's bench is T-Smith sittin on dis year. Don't be so scurred. It is only natural for the balance of power to shift (due North).

  2. Tressel should be under more pressure than he actually is. His teams always handle a rough Big 10 but they look anemic against non conference powers. OSU (and Michigan for that matter) should be on par with the Florida's, USC's and Notre Dame's of yesteryear. Tressel's ultra conservative approach is boring and seems stoppable by any team with outstanding speed. R-Rod's style is a lot more fun to watch, or will be, when he get's some Division I players on the roster. My two cents.

  4. An Internet tough guy scUM fan with a keyboard posting comments as Anonymous, LMFAO!

scUM's lead in the head 2 head series is shrinking faster and faster so I understand why you're developing a complex and lashing out.

    Just remember these 2 points:

    1. 57-42-6 used to be 56-35-6

    2. scUM won 14 of the 1st 15 meetings with 1 tie so take away those games prior to 1919, and scUM leads the series by 1

Thank goodness for all those wins vs. Ohio State before WWI ended, huh?

Care to take a guess what the series W/L record is since 1919?

    Or 1928?

Or how about in the modern era, 1950-2008?

That's fine by me if you wanna brag about a small lead in the series that scUM padded when OSU was a practically comparable to a DII team way back before your grandparents were even born!!!

  5. Funny how you can pick what wins count as "real".

  6. Lol

Hilarious reading these comments by a brown-bagging anonymous michigan fan after the seasons over. But, over you say, it's still November, surely michigan made it to a bowl game under the great rich rod!! lmao.
